It’s heating up in the California desert, and as we get closer to summer I started thinking about the obvious changes I need to make to the daily routine Angel and I enjoy. Pet Safe Tails
Hi! We are Marshall and Cooper and we have a story to tell you.
We want you to learn about our lives and how they ended so that your pets aren’t at risk of eating a pesticide, medicine, cleaning product, or other dangerous substance – used in innocence and ignorance by you, your neighbor or your family.
We’re here to tell you that anytime you put something poisonous on the ground for one pest, it can kill your pet.
Our story is a great example. Click here to see our video. We had a really happy life that ended too soon.
Welcome to our blog and website. We want to bring you all kinds of good ideas, education and other insights to keep your pet safe … so your pet won’t feel the pain we did and your “mom and dad” won’t cry the tears ours did.
When you are a dog, everything that smells good must taste good.
One nibble of something sweet like snail bait (it has molasses in it) or rat poison could result in a horrible death (muscle spasms , hemorrhaging). We need you to know about all of these common substances so that you can keep us from harm.
What we plan to do on KEEP ME FROM HARM is show you alternatives, tell you new ways of doing old things, and introduce new products that are safe. Our guest bloggers know a lot of fun ways to help you protect our world.
Keep coming back. We will have new things to bark about all the time. We are going to make the world a safer place for pets, children. And, you too!
Ok, we have covered planning and restraint systems. There are a couple of other areas that you will want to think about before heading out on your road trip. Be sure your pet is healthy before you go. Schedule a check up with your vet before heading out. Refill any prescriptions that may run out [...]
In part one we talked a lot about planning, and planning really crosses into all aspects of pet safety while on a road trip. Pet Restraint We were surprised by the huge number of pets killed every year because they are not properly restrained. Leaving your pet free to roam is a hazard to both [...]
As summer approaches, the thought of quick getaways to cooler spots or just for a change of scenery comes to my mind. Here in the Palm Springs area temperatures can be in the triple digits (100-115) during the summer and sometimes a mountain getaway is the perfect solution for us. I like to take my [...]
Here’s something we have not focused on that is an important safety consideration if you are walking your pet at night or after dark or before light. Apparently many dogs and their human companions are hurt every year when a motorist does not see them because it’s dark. We found this great product and terrific [...]
In the first part of our post we looked at what plants can help others grow without pesticides – plants that keep unwanted insects away. There are also plants that can attract wanted insects and compliment the growth of your veggies, fruits and flowers. There is a lot of information online about this topic, so [...]
